Sibiu is just lovely. It was European Capital of Culture in 2007 and has (probably because of this) a beautifully restored city center. If you move a little outside, the houses are beautiful, but often also rather dilapidated. My son put it so aptly: ‚Sibiu is like Venice, only without water‘. We were thrilled and this wonderful city, with its ‚roofs of eyes‘, is definitely worth a visit!
